There is much talk amongst the orcs of the White Sands tribe, tales brought to them by trading ships and caravans from the west and south.
Big Stick and Halger are privy to several topics of note:

Unseasonable storms are rife all along the coast of Paramon and Morovia, disrupting trade and sinking more than one vessel.

The usually bountiful seas off North-Eastern Paramon are yielding less and less fish as the months progress.

Border skirmishes to the south between Paramon and Morovia have escalated of late... sparking rumours of impending war between the nations.

Reports of walking trees and plants as well as an increased number of wild animal attacks are rife throughout the region.

Unconfirmed stories of the dead rising from their rest have begun to circulate.

An unknown reptilian humanoid has been captured by a patrol near the edge of the Black Swamp region to the south.

The dwarves of Dwarfhold have ceased trade and have closed their gates to all but their own number.

The war to the south is not going well for Paramon. Heavy casualties are being sustained and the stream of injured flooding back to the southern fortifications seems endless. Oddly, a great number of the injuries treated are caused by exposure to severe cold. Frostburn is claiming as many lives as more mundane wounds.

On another note, travel to the west has become all but impossible due to large numbers of hostile plants and strange beast men between Paramon and Millbrew. This has resulted in the halfling community being cut off from all contact.
