Ruddy Paddlefoot
Name: Ruddy Paddlefoot
Race: Hin
Height: 2’8”
Weight: 14 kg
Age: 20
Hair: Red
Eyes: Green
Deity:Brandobaris Olidammara
Base Class: Rogue/Bard
Languages: Common, Hin, Thieves’ Cant
Appearance: A young Hin with a mischievous grin and a twinkle in his green eyes. His hair is flame red, a true ranga covered with ginger freckles. He fidgets constantly.
Background: Ruddy was born in the Halfling hamlet of Millbrew. From a young age Ruddy was always getting into trouble, and soon earned a reputation as a mischief maker, though often simply due to his penchant for embarking in rash actions before thinking through all the consequences. After the town was saved from Garvick and his creations, town Matriarch Linny Goodmead suggested to Ruddy that he could do worse than learn to be more like the heroic adventurers who aided the town in its hour of need. Ruddy, ever the impulsive, decided then and there to seek out the heroes and learn from them.
Personality: Impulsive, slightly reckless, prone to rash actions, bends the rules as much as he can, and sometimes breaks them. Ruddy is, deep down, a good sort and loyal to those he is true friends with.
Goals: Learn from the heroes as much as he can about being an adventurer.
Develop a name for himself as an adventurer, and have fun while doing it.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Ruddy’s most recent acts of trouble involved seducing several of the young maids of Millbrew town. It is quite possible that a few ginger-haired babies may be born in 9 months time.

Re: Ruddy Paddlefoot
//thanks! Good to see familiar folk again. Was fun, not sure why I keep losing the connection whenever a battle starts though. Hopefully that will fix itself next time.

Re: Ruddy Paddlefoot
Ruddy looked once again at the letter he had written, it was simple and to the point. He hoped they would understand. He felt bad about running off like this, but the message from Matriarch Linny Goodmead was urgent – he had to return to Millbrew – and he had to return now! He scanned his written words once more:
“Sorry to do this in a letter, to leave you all in such a fashion is not how I would have preferred, but it is early morn and the boat leaves before the dawn. I have received word from Matriarch Goodmead back in Millbrew and must urgently depart our band in order to return there as a matter of haste and urgency. I am hopeful my time away will be short, however if you could leave word with the waitress in the Pig and Hen Inn of your movements I will follow you from there on my return. And I *DO* intend to return to you all. I’ve learnt too much from you not to want to see this through to the end, and think of you all as friends.”
Almost as an after thought he picked up the small gold band he had persuaded the man in the forest to part with after they routed the caves of the orcs. It seemed to be a ring of healing power, no doubt it would come in use for his friends on their journey. He placed it in the envelope and added to his letter:
“Please find enclosed the ring of healing the man in the stone circle gave me after we defeated the orcs. May you find it aids in your endeavours.”
He added the letter into the envelope with the ring and sealed it shut.
He pondered for a while, seemingly debating with himself about who the letter should be addressed before writing “Jack” on the front of the envelope and silently slipping it under the door to Jack’s room as he made his way down to the port, and the boat he had managed to pay for a berth on, in order to return to Paramon and then to Millbrew.
The young Hin’s face was grim as he watched the port fade into the horizon as the boat departed.
//aka - I'll be out of action for the next month and didn't just want Ruddy to be "absent" without any ic reason. Sorry Grumble and all. See you when I get back and keep on trucking!
